The PHOTORAMA team met in Paris in November 2024 for our last consortium meeting before the revealing of the pilot line in April 2025.
This last meeting was the occasion to discuss the advancement made by each work package working at different aspects of the project, from the recycling technologies, the re-use and eco-design possibilities of recycled contents, to social awareness activities.
Step by step, the consortium is working towards the demonstration of our processes to technical experts, policymakers, economic actors and the general public. While the exact date of the pilot line demonstration has not been fixed yet, it will take place during the second week of April in Tangermünde, Germany. As the date approaches, the team has to finalise technical details but also logistical concerns; from the transport of the machines to the temperature in the facilities hosting the pilot line.
On the second day of the meeting, the team discussed the exploitation possibilities of the project results after the end of the project and the much-awaited demonstration. The exploitation plan aims to ensure that the technological solutions developed by PHOTORAMA will be able to enter the market and contribute to the recycling of PV panels. In addition, PHOTORAMA wishes to build from the momentum of the project, and its recent exposure as a winner of the EUSEW2024 innovation price, to further the discussion around the end of life of PV panels.
As always, the team had a productive time working towards the common goal of fostering PV circularity and sustainability along its value chain, this time with a beautiful view over Paris.
We will post all the information regarding the pilot line visit and registration on this website and on LinkedIn in the next few months. Stay tuned!
